A video from Meerut district in Uttar Pradesh is becoming increasingly viral on social media. In this video, a groom dressed in a coat, pants and a garland of bills around his neck climbs onto a charger and then enters through the window in a flowing style while performing a trick. He takes the driver out of the loader in the middle of the road and hits him indiscriminately. This entire video is about the incident that took place on National Highway 58 in Partapur Police Station area of Meerut.
In fact, on November 23, the groom Pankaj was returning with his family from the village after performing the puja, when on the way a porter ran over the side of the groom’s car. After which an altercation began between the two. Groom Pankaj said my wedding would be on November 23rd. After performing the puja from the village, he was heading towards the road along with some women and other people. At this time, while I was crossing the road, the charger (little elephant) was coming at a speed of about 70. When I signaled him to stop, he slowed down and tried to snatch the garland. The boyfriend further said that as soon as she tried to snatch the garland from him, he hung on his car and tried to hit her. The groom also alleged that he tried to steal the garland and also harassed the mothers and sisters.
The boyfriend hit the driver.
On the other hand, the loader driver said that my name is Jagpal and the one being beaten in the video is me. The driver said he was heading to Ghaziabad after loading goods from Meerut. My car was going about 55. These people were coming from the trail. Suddenly these people got in front of the car. My brakes slammed right in front of them. Meanwhile they broke my glass and started beating me. The driver also said that out of fear I ran away from there and they came chasing me on a motorcycle and got into my car. After which he beat me brutally and broke my shoulder.
The police are taking action.
At the moment the police have recorded the statements of both. Giving information about the incident, the driver has filed a complaint at the police station for assault against the boyfriend and his companions. The police called both parties to the police station and took information from them about the incident. The driver says I have complained and we want justice.
