Rio de Janeiro: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting with his Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Monday (local time). During the meeting, the two leaders discussed enhancing cooperation in trade, investment and technology, including strengthening cultural and people-to-people relations.

After the meeting, PM Modi also made a post on social media platform of the G20 in Rio de Janeiro. Our conversation focused on deepening relations in defense, security, trade and technology. “We also talked about promoting cooperation in education and other similar areas.” the friendship between India and Italy.
Meeting with leaders of Norway and Portugal
Furthermore, during the 19th G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, Prime Minister Modi also held a bilateral meeting with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store. Earlier, Prime Minister Modi met the leaders of Indonesia and Portugal on the sidelines of the G20 leaders’ summit in Brazil. In his discussion, Prime Minister Modi emphasized strengthening relations with both countries in areas such as trade and defence.

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said Prime Minister Modi assured Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto that he will expand the India-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. He wrote on Twitter: “India-Indonesia: Celebrating 75 years of warm and friendly relations! Prime Minister Narendra Modi meets Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Brazil. The Prime Minister congratulated the President Prabowo and congratulated him on his assurance to expand the India-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement.”
