Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan said on Friday that under a project work is underway to connect several military museums through an electronic platform. It aims to inform and educate people about India’s glorious military heritage.
While celebrating the second edition of Indian Military Heritage Mahotsav, CDS, referring to the previous events, said that we will make Army related events and stories easily accessible to all people and we will make those stories more accessible to the public . .
Preparation to electronically connect all military museums
Anil Chauhan said that we have started the work of electronically linking our military museums with the intention of creating awareness about the valor, glorious history and heritage of armed forces. The general said that we have already electronically connected eight to ten military museums and soon we will also electronically connect the 47 to 48 museums. After this everything will be available in one place. Thanks to which it will be easier for people to collect information and learn the stories of military glory.
The General of the Defense Staff said that the objective of this project is to preserve and promote India’s military heritage through education and tourism. So that it reaches people easily. During this program ‘Shaurya Gatha’ was released. Actually, the aim of this festival is to focus people’s attention on national security, foreign policy and military history of India along with military heritage.
Remembered Colonel Arul Raj
Recalling the period of British rule, CDS said the British had also developed a school of painting in India, which depicted the daily military life of soldiers. He also recalled the contribution of Colonel Arul Raj, whose paintings adorn the walls of military establishments from the South Block to the Manekshaw Centre.
