Team India and each of its fans are waiting for when captain Rohit Sharma and star fast bowler Mohammed Shami will finally go to Australia. Rohit Jahan is currently in Mumbai with his family due to the birth of his son and will not be able to play the Perth Test. Mohammed Shami, who was out for a year due to injury, will also not be able to play in the Perth Test. It is certain that Rohit will return from the second Test but the situation is not clear regarding when Shami will return. This is the reason why despite his strong comeback in the Ranji Trophy, he will not be sent to Australia right now and now Shami has been included in the Bengal cricket team where he will be seen playing in the Syed Trophy Mushtaq Ali.

The Cricket Association of Bengal announced its squad for the T20 tournament on Monday, November 18, which also included the 35-year-old star fast bowler. From this it became clear that it will take time for Shami to go to Australia. The tournament will begin on November 23, where Bengal’s first match will be against Punjab. The team will face Hyderabad in the next match on November 25. In such a situation, Shami is likely to play both matches and after seeing his fitness there, a decision can be taken to send him to Australia.

Shami, who was injured during the ODI World Cup last year, has been out of the field for the last one year. Due to doubts about his fitness, he was not selected in the team selected for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. However, Shami had returned to the field for his Bengal state Ranji Trophy last week. In the match against Madhya Pradesh, Shami bowled around 45 overs, took 7 wickets and led the team to victory. This performance by Shami not only cleared the doubts about his fitness but also proved that he is still fit.

In such a situation, it was believed that Shami would be immediately sent to Australia where he would join the Indian team for the second Test, but at the moment this does not seem to be happening. A report claimed that the BCCI and the team management did not want to rush into Shami and wanted to check his fitness completely, following which his chances of playing in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy had increased.
