Chandrashekhar Azad, MP from Nagina, Uttar Pradesh headquarters, wrote a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and expressed serious concern over incidents of caste oppression in the state. He said that his party officials and himself have experienced that in cases of oppression of the underprivileged classes, the attitude of the local administration and the police is in most cases extremely insensitive or biased towards the accused.
Chandrashekhar said in his letter that in a situation where the Constitution of the country has provided for ending caste discrimination and giving adequate representation to the scheduled castes/tribes, this situation is not only worrying but also unacceptable.

Even if FIR is registered…!
Azad Samaj Party chief Chandrashekhar further mentioned the problems faced by Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe people every day while registering their complaints at police stations. Chandrashekhar Azad said victims are often denied filing FIR. Even if an FIR is registered many times, weak sections are included or the victim’s complaint is altered.
Demand for strict action by CM
Raising this serious issue, the MP has demanded from the Chief Minister that strict action be taken in such cases and the accused be kept under strict surveillance. He stressed that such a situation is not only a major obstacle to the construction of a civilized society but is also painful. He also said that a strong system must be created to punish the guilty, so that no underprivileged class has to face similar problems in the future.

Chandrashekhar Azad said the government should be prepared to provide equal justice and security to all citizens. Chandrashekhar Azad asked that anyone who reports such cases be given protection so that they can raise their voice without fear.
