‘Mom didn’t care’
During the interview, Nana Patekar also spoke about the National Award he received for the film ‘Parinda’. Nana said that her mother was not affected by her National Award because she was not aware of it. Nana said: ‘After my father passed away, my mother didn’t care if I received money or an award for any film. Because my father was my mother’s life.
Nana further said, ‘When I received the National Award for the film Parinda, my mother used to say that you have no idea who gets the award. Someone who does such a disgusting and dirty job gets some reward for it. My mother was from the poor village of Khede and had no connection with all this. In the movie ‘Parinda’, Nana Patekar’s role was that of Anna Gangster, who used to get people killed.
‘Anil Sharma is a trash man’
Nana Patekar did not stop here. Additionally, he shared some stories about the film’s director Anil Sharma in the same interview. During the conversation, Nana Patekar also jokingly called Anil Sharma a ‘foolish man’. When Nana Patekar was asked why people were afraid to work with him, he replied, ‘Anil Sharma is a rubbish person. After Gadar’s first hit, he used to tell me every day that this is the story, that is the story, but he never contacted me.
When is Anil Sharma’s ‘Vanvas’ coming?
Nana Patekar and Anil Sharma have collaborated for their upcoming film Vanvas, also starring Utkarsh Sharma. This is a family drama, which shows the depth of the relationship between father and son.
