Chandigarh News: Army attached camp organized by 2nd NCC of Chandigarh Battalion at 474 Engineering Brigade, Zirakpur, concluded successfully. In this camp held from November 2 to 12, 85 senior NCC cadets from various colleges of Chandigarh gained practical experience of the lifestyle and training of the Indian Army.
The objective of the camp was to familiarize the young cadets with the activities and working style of the Indian Army, so that they can consider career opportunities in the armed forces. During this, the cadets received various military training such as physical training, weapons training, map reading, health and hygiene, field techniques, etc.
Commander 57 Engineering Brigade Colonel Sunil Kumar Jakhar said that through this camp, the cadets became aware of the difficulties and discipline of military life. This attached army camp acts as a bridge between civilian life and military life, allowing NCC cadets to make informed decisions about their future.
The training sessions were conducted by a team of experienced officers and instructors of 57 Engineering Brigade including Major Rishikesh, Naib Subedar Rakesh, Havildar Pradeep Negi, Havildar Ved Prakash and Havildar Vishal.
