Ajit Pawar and Sharad Pawar

An interesting contest was seen between the uncle and nephew’s party in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. The Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) won a total of 41 seats, defeating the Sharad Pawar-led NCP (SP) by 29 seats. At the same time, Sharad Pawar’s NCP (SP) managed to win only 10 seats, while it won six seats by defeating the candidates of Ajit Pawar’s party.

The NCP (SP) had fielded 86 candidates in these elections, but the party could not get the expected success. At the same time, the NCP under the leadership of Ajit Pawar won 41 seats based on the electoral strategy, which is considered a great success for the party. This election result has marked a new direction in Maharashtra politics, especially when there were two rival groups under the leadership of Ajit Pawar and Sharad Pawar.

The real fight between NCP and Shiv Sena?

Since before the elections, the real NCP and the real Shiv Sena also remained a big issue in the state’s politics. After the split of Shiv Sena, there was a fierce fight between Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena and Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena in UBT, while there were also two factions in NCP. In this the issue of Ajit Pawar’s NCP and Sharad Pawar’s NCP-SP dominated. The four parties continued trying to prove that we are the real party. However, now that the results are out, it can be seen that the public has shown more confidence in the faction that won the party’s name and symbol in the legal battle. So now we have to see whether the fight between the real NCP and the real Shiv Sena will end after the election results or not.

Mahayuti’s big win, MVA eliminated

Let us tell you that in Maharashtra, the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance has won a landslide victory, while the Congress-led Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance (MVA) has been annihilated. Of the 288 assembly seats in the state, Mahayuti won 235 seats, while MVA was reduced to just 49 seats. The BJP contested the elections for 149 seats, out of which it won a huge victory with 132 seats. At the same time, Shiv Sena, which is part of the Mahayuti alliance, won the victory flag with 57 seats, while the NCP won with 41 seats.
