UGC NET Ayurveda Biology: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has taken an important step to promote traditional knowledge along with modern education. UGC has announced the inclusion of ‘Ayurveda Biology’ as a new subject in the National Eligibility Test (NET). This decision has been taken following the recommendations of an expert committee during the 581st meeting of the UGC on June 25, 2024.
The UGC NET exam conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducted to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), recruitment of Assistant Professor in Indian Universities and now for admission to Ph.D. After the new subject of Ayurveda Biology is added in UGC NET, its syllabus will be included in UGC NET in December 2024, increasing the scope of research and education in the field of Ayurveda.
