Prime Minister Modi said that friends, the theme of this program is “India-Germany Roadmap for Sustainable Growth”. And this issue is a symbol of responsible partnership between India and Germany. In the last two days, you all have had very positive discussions on issues related to the economy, as well as India and the Internet.

25 years of strategic partnership have been completed

At the World Summit, Prime Minister Modi said that the strategic partnership between India and Germany has completed 25 years. This year is historic for this association. Last month, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz made his third visit to India. After 12 years, the Asia Pacific Conference of German Companies was organized in Delhi.

The relationship between India and Germany is centuries old

The Prime Minister said that although it has been 25 years, our relationship is centuries old. The person who created the first Sanskrit grammar book in Europe was a German. Thanks to two German merchants, Germany became the first country in Europe where books in Tamil and Telugu were published. Today, around 3 lakh Indians live in Germany. 50 thousand students from India study in German universities.

The world is realizing the strategic importance

He said that today more than 1,800 German companies work in India. Every country in the world wants to partner with India for development. The German Focus India paper is also a great example of this. This shows how today the entire world is realizing the strategic importance of India.

The mantra of Reform, Realize, Transform that has been in place in India for the last 10 years has played an important role in this change in the world’s mindset. New policies are working in all areas and sectors of India. More than 30 thousand compliances have been abolished.

A reliable partner of India

He also said India should strengthen its banks to have time and affordable capital for development. We simplify the complicated tax system by making an efficient GST system. We create a progressive and stable policymaking environment in the country, so that our companies can grow. Today, a solid foundation has been laid in India on which the great edifice of developed India will be built. In this sense, Germany will be a reliable partner of India.

India is at the forefront of manufacturing

The Prime Minister said that India is one of the world’s leading electronics manufacturing countries. Today, India is the largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the world. It is the second largest manufacturer of steel and cement and the fourth largest manufacturer of four-wheeled vehicles. Indian semiconductor industry will also raise its flag in the world very soon. This happened because in recent years, our government has continuously worked on formulating policies for improvement of infrastructure, reduction of logistics costs, ease of doing business and stable governance.

invitation to visit india

In India, infrastructure creation work in these three funds is progressing very rapidly. Today the world is seeing the impact of our investment and innovation in digital technology. India is the country with the most unique digital public sector in the world. Today there are many German companies in India that have not yet set up their headquarters there. I also invite you to come to India and as I said at the Asia Pacific Conference in Delhi, as an ancient civilization of the world, we have always welcomed people from all over the world. We made them part of our country. I invite you to become my ally in building a prosperous future for the world.

He said that at Make in India we want you to come to India. Germany is a reliable trading partner of India. India has become a good environment for business. Today a new chapter is added to the Indo-German partnership. I am glad that an Indian media group organized such a big summit.
