Dr Vishakha Tripathi (75), elder daughter of spiritual guru Kripalu Maharaj, died in a road accident on the Yamuna Expressway on Sunday in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. She was traveling from Vrindavan to Delhi with her sisters and five others when her car was hit by a cantering truck in the Dankaur area.
Vishakha Tripathi along with her two younger sisters and five others were traveling in two cars from Vrindavan to Delhi on the Yamuna Expressway. From there he had to go to Singapore. But on Sunday morning, a cantering driver ran over both cars in the Dankaur area. In this accident, eight people, including the Maharaj’s three daughters, were seriously injured.

The victims were admitted to hospitals in Noida and Delhi for treatment, where Vishakha Tripathi died. The police spokesperson said his sisters Krishna Tripathi and Shyama Tripathi have been admitted to Delhi’s Apollo Hospital and their condition is said to be critical. Police have sent the body for autopsy.
Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat said in the condolence message that it is with great sadness that we have to inform that the President of Bhakti Dham, Dr. Vishakha Tripathi, has sadly passed away and her last rites will be performed in Vrindavan.
The spiritual guru and his family resided in Mangadh (Kunda) in Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh. Vishakha Tripathi looked after the ashram in Pratapgarh, while her two younger sisters looked after the temples in Vrindavan and Barsana.
