New Maruti Dzire vs old: Engine

The new Dezire is powered by a new 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z-series petrol engine that produces 81 PS and 112 Nm of maximum torque. This engine is 8 PS and 2 Nm less than the old Dezire with 1.2-litre four-cylinder K-series petrol engine.

Transmission options include 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic gearbox. Its CNG version will also be available, which will deliver 69 HP and 102 Nm of torque.

As for the upgrades, the base model of the new Maruti Dezire is Rs 22,000 more expensive compared to the previous model. Similarly, considering the number of premium features on the compact sedan, one will have to pay Rs 75,000 more for the top model. The ex-showroom price of the new Dezire is Rs 6.79 to Rs 10.14 lakh.
