The design of the new Maruti Dezire is completely new. However, the size of this sedan remains practically the same as before. The length of the new Maruti Dezire is 3,995 mm, width is 1,735 mm and height is 1,525 mm. Its wheelbase is 2,450 mm and its ground clearance is 163 mm.

The new Dezire is powered by a new 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z-series petrol engine that produces 81 PS and 112 Nm of maximum torque. This engine is 8 PS and 2 Nm less than the old Dezire with 1.2-litre four-cylinder K-series petrol engine.
Transmission options include 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic gearbox. Its CNG version will also be available, which will deliver 69 HP and 102 Nm of torque.

As for the upgrades, the base model of the new Maruti Dezire is Rs 22,000 more expensive compared to the previous model.
