Not just Meena, there is a long list of slapping leaders in Rajasthan.

During voting in the Rajasthan by-elections, independent candidate from Deoli-Uniara seat Naresh Meena slapped SDM Amit Chaudhary. Now, this slapping incident is making political headlines across Rajasthan. While questions are being raised over the police’s working style for slapping the SDM, the administration is accused of negligence in connection with Naresh Meena’s arrest. The issue of slapping Amit Chaudhary is also turning into a caste fight. Chaudhary comes from the Jat community, while Naresh belongs to the Meena community.

However, this is not the first case in Rajasthan politics where a leader has been accused of slapping or hitting officials. After 2010, many such cases have emerged in Rajasthan politics, where leaders beat up officials to improve their image.

Read the story of these leaders in detail in this story…

Kirori Lal Meena’s first name in the list

In 2011, the then Dausa MP Kirori Lal Meena also slapped a police constable. Actually, Kirori wanted to meet with the district magistrate about a matter. Meanwhile, police officers were adamant about not letting them go.

At first, Kirori argued with the officer, but when things didn’t work out, she slapped him. In this case, a case was registered against Kirori Lal and he was arrested and sent to jail.

After Kirori was imprisoned, his followers took to the streets. After weighing the political gains and losses, the then Ashok Gehlot government released Kirori.

Kirori Lal Meena is currently a senior minister in the Bhajanlal Sharma government. He is counted among the great leaders of the Meena community of the state.

Angered by bribery, CP also slapped

In November 2022, former BJP president CP Joshi, who was angry over the bribery, also slapped a government employee. In fact, the then Deputy CP of Chittorgarh received news that a Narcotics Department employee was demanding a bribe.

Angered by this, the CP slapped the employee. CP received a lot of criticism in this matter. However, no major punitive action was taken against them.

Chandna’s name is also among those who slapped.

In 2018, Rajasthan government’s Sports Minister Ashok Chandna was accused of beating up JP Meena, an official in the electricity department. According to Meena, Chandna slapped her unnecessarily. At that time, this issue had become very politically important.

In reality, Chandana was angry with the appointment of an employee of the electricity department in his area. Chandna said the employee is not working properly but department officials do not want to fire him.

This incident also took the form of Meena against Gurjar in Rajasthan. However, the then Ashok Gehlot government handled it well.

Dindore beats up a government doctor

In January 2021, Ram Prasad Dindore, then BTP MLA from Sagwara, slapped a government doctor during a hospital inspection. Dindore said the doctors were not working properly and he was constantly receiving complaints.

This case became so important that the then Gehlot government had to hand over the investigation to the CID-CB. However, no punitive action could be taken against Dindore. The reason for this is the politics of Rajasthan. Dindore had supported Gehlot’s government in later days.

Mallinga breaks the bone of a Dalit officer

In 2022, then Congress MP Girraj Mallinga was accused of beating up a Dalit official of the electricity department. Electricity department official Harshapati Valmiki alleged that Mallinga and his followers brutally beat him up over an issue.

A case was also registered in this case, but the then Ashok Gehlot government did not take any action against Mallinga. However, when the matter reached the top level of command, Mallikarjun Kharge canceled Mallinga’s candidature for the 2023 elections, following which an angry Mallinga joined the BJP.
