Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday launched Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) Nandini brand dairy products in the Delhi-NCR market. To establish itself in the National Capital Region, the prices of Nandini products have been kept lower than other brands. Starting Friday, the cooperative institution will market four types of products made with cow’s milk, curd and whey.
The cooperative organization has kept its prices lower compared to others. That means it will compete with established companies like Mother Dairy and Amul. After presenting the products, CM Siddaramaiah said, ‘We have extra milk in the state. KMF, in collaboration with Mandya Milk Union, will market an additional 3-4 lakh liters of milk per day in Delhi-NCR.
Nandini brand milk price in NCR
In Karnataka Milk Union NCR, cow’s milk will be sold at the rate of Rs 56 per liter, whole milk at Rs 67 per liter, standardized milk at Rs 61 per liter, toned milk at Rs 55 per liter and curd at 74 rupees per litre. kilograms. Currently, KMF collects 100 lakh liters of milk per day, of which local consumption is 60 lakh liters. This saves an additional 40 lakh liters of milk for expansion into new markets.
“We need to find new markets for excess milk”
However, the Chief Minister acknowledged the challenges of delivering milk over a distance of over 2,500 kilometres, which takes between 50 and 54 hours. Siddaramaiah said there is a need to find new markets for excess milk. Gradually, KMF will be able to sell 5-6 lakh liters of milk per day in Delhi-NCR.

KMF president LBP Bhimanayak assured that the quality of milk will be maintained during transportation. He said KMF has already partnered with 40 sellers in the Delhi-NCR region to facilitate sales. In the city of Delhi, KMF and Mandya Milk Union have together launched different ranges of milk in the market.
