Delhi. There is an atmosphere of happiness and enthusiasm within the NSUI Congress student organization after winning the position of president of the University Students Union after a long time. NSUI says they fought and won the battle to open ‘Mohabbat ki Dukaan’ in Delhi University. NSUI had named Raunak Khatri as its candidate for the post of president in the DUSU Students’ Union elections. Yash Nandal was NSUI’s candidate for the post of vice president.
NSUI had fielded Namrata Jeff for the post of secretary and Lokesh Chaudhary was the candidate for joint secretary. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad had nominated Rishabh Chaudhary for the post of president, Bhanu Pratap Singh for the post of vice-president, Mitravinda Karnawal for the post of secretary and Aman Kapasia for the post of joint secretary. Raunak Khatri of NSUI won the post of president. Raunak Khatri got a total of 20,207 votes, while his closest rival and Vidyarthi Parishad candidate Rishabh Chaudhary got only 18,868 votes. Bhanu Pratap of the Student Council won the post of vice president. He obtained 24,166 votes. Vidyarthi Parishad candidate Mritravrinda won the post of secretary. He obtained 16,703 votes. NSUI’s Lokesh Chaudhary won the post of Joint Secretary. Lokesh Chaudhary got 21,975 votes. NSUI National President Varun Chaudhary said that in this election we fought for the protection of the Constitution, safety of women, a violence-free campus and opening of a ‘love shop’ in the university. I am proud to have opened ‘Mohabbat Ki Dukaan’ in Delhi University, which is a symbol of love, unity and positive change.

Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Devendra Yadav, winning the post of president and joint secretary of the Congress student organisation, said the story of change in Delhi has begun.
