New Zealand vs English: On one hand, the Indian cricket team is touring Australia, while on the other, the England cricket team is busy playing a Test series in New Zealand, Australia’s neighboring country. On the tour of New Zealand, the England team suffered a major setback even before the start of the test series. Wicketkeeper-batsman Jordan Cox was injured.

Cox was ruled out of the tour after suffering a broken right thumb on Sunday, the second day of England’s warm-up match against the Prime Minister’s XI in Queenstown. Instead, Ollie Pope will have to play the role of goalkeeper in the first Test. Meanwhile, great news has arrived from England. Goalkeeper Ollie Robinson has been recalled to New Zealand in the middle of the first Test match to replace the injured Jordan Cox.

England’s big announcement

With Jamie Smith on paternity leave, Jordan Uncapped Cox was given wicketkeeping duties throughout the series but was injured before the first Test. Following this, Ollie Pope took on the responsibility of wicketkeeping in the first Test which began in Christchurch on Thursday, in which Jacob Bethell was awarded his first Test cap.

Ollie Robinson may have a chance in the second test which will be held in Wellington and which will begin next Friday, i.e. December 6). The curious thing is that he is the second player with the same name to join the England team in the last three years. Let us tell you, he is not related to the other Ollie Robinson, although both players were born in Kent and have the same birthday, December 1st.

England squad updated for New Zealand tour: Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Jacob Bethel, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Ollie Pope (wk), Ben Stokes (c), Chris Woakes, Gus Atkinson, Brydon Carse, Shoaib Bashir, Bencherhan Ahmed, Matthew Potts, Jack Leach, Ollie Stone , Ollie Robinson.
