Dhenkanal Sub-Collector Arrest: A sub-collector was arrested on Tuesday in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district. During the investigation, this action was taken against the sub-collector when it was found that he had disproportionate assets.

An officer taking action in this regard said the properties found with the sub-collector included three multi-storey buildings and 14 plots in Bhubaneswar, deposits of over Rs 34.57 lakh, Rs 1.48 lakh in cash and 366 grams of gold. .

Giving information in this matter, the officer concerned told PTI that the accused sub-collector could not satisfactorily explain the sources of money to acquire the property.

The officials who carried out the raid said that after this matter came to light, the Vigilance Department registered a corruption case and after investigation arrested the accused sub-collector.
