BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra
The political temperature in the country has risen after the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s allegations against billionaire Gautam Adani. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi demanded the arrest of Gautam Adani. Rahul said that Gautam Adani has committed a scam and should be arrested. BJP has responded to Rahul’s attack. Party spokesperson Sambit Patra questioned that wherever the Congress was in power, Gautam Adani had invested. Rahul ji should answer why his governments accepted help.
‘People are hurt because of Rahul’
Sambit Patra said that there was the Bhupesh Baghel government in Chhattisgarh. There was the YSRCP government in Andhra Pradesh, Stalin’s government in Tamil Nadu, Naveen Patnaik’s government in Odisha… Adani invested there. If Adani is corrupt, why did he take help?
Sambit Patra said that when Rahul Gandhi was talking about Prime Minister Modi’s loss of credibility, Modi ji was receiving the highest civilian award from another country. Rahul Gandhi, you were talking about structure. Its structure is George Soros. Everyone knows it.
The BJP spokesperson said that since 4 am today, their entire structure (Rahul Gandhi) was busy in bringing down the Indian market. Today, 2.5 million people have suffered losses in the stock market because of them. Sambit Patra’s attack on Rahul Gandhi continued.
He said that you say PM Modi is behind Adani, so why was Rs 25,000 crore invested in Chhattisgarh during the time of Bhupesh Baghel? Why did Ashok Gehlot invest Rs 65,000 crore in Rajasthan? Why did your government promise an investment of Rs 1 lakh in Karnataka? Why did Telangana CM Revanth Reddy accept 100 donations for his organization? We ask that you go to court for all these issues.
The Congress, especially Rahul Gandhi, has consistently alleged closeness between the Prime Minister Modi-led government and Adani, claiming that the group has received unfair benefits from the BJP government in sectors ranging from ports to energy. In fact, US prosecutors have accused Adani and his nephew Sagar Adani of obtaining solar energy contracts by bribing Indian government officials. Under this alleged scheme, a bribe of $250 million (around Rs 2,236 crore) was given between 2020 and 2024.
Adani is accused of paying large-scale bribes to obtain contracts and financing for solar projects on the Indian subcontinent and hiding it from American investors. Others accused along with Adani include his nephew Sagar Adani, CEO of Adani Green Energy, and Vineet Jain, who was the company’s CEO.
