Pakistani security forces on Monday killed a total of six terrorists in two separate clashes in the border areas with Afghanistan. The Pakistani military said that, based on intelligence, it engaged terrorists in two separate encounters in the restive northwest adjacent to Afghanistan. At the same time, a total of six terrorists have been killed.

The Pakistani military said in a statement that a terrorist commander was killed in the first overnight attack in North Waziristan, a district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. He said five more terrorists were killed in a second raid in the nearby South Waziristan district. When a group of Pakistani Taliban tried to enter Pakistan from Afghanistan. At the same time, three other terrorists were also injured in this encounter.

Pakistan blames Taliban government

The military also said that Pakistan continuously calls on the Afghan Taliban government to ensure effective border management. Islamabad often accuses Kabul of turning a blind eye to terrorists operating near the border. However, Afghanistan’s Taliban government has denied such allegations.

In recent times, there has been an increase in violence in Pakistan, much of which is attributed to the Pakistani Taliban. What is known as Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan or TTP. It is a separate group but is affiliated with the Afghan Taliban, which seized power in Afghanistan in 2021. Many TTP leaders and fighters have since found refuge in Afghanistan.
