Twelve more people were killed in the last 24 hours in violent clashes between two communities in Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, raising the death toll to 30. More than 20 people have been injured in violent clashes between tribal communities in low-lying areas from Alizai and Bagan, and government officials say talks with local and tribal elders to restore peace are progressing successfully.
According to police, at least 75 people have died in the last three days in ongoing clashes between different communities. Following the latest clashes, around 300 families reportedly left their homes and headed to safer locations. A senior official said that people are afraid, which is why 300 families have migrated towards Hangu and Peshawar, and many more families are also preparing to leave their homes.
In areas where violence is currently observed, incidents of this type continue to come to light every day. Last month, 16 people, including three women and two children, were killed in a clash in Kurram. Before this, dozens of people were also murdered in July and September. According to the HRCP, 79 people were killed in clashes between July and October.

Human rights groups and authorities have condemned the violence and those killed in it. The Independent Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) has asked the authorities to pay immediate attention to the situation of violence, stating that there is a continuous increase in violence. Additionally, many people participated in protests in Lahore and Karachi on Friday, while thousands of people participated in the protest in Parachinar in Kurram district. Many people also attended the funeral of those killed in the violence.
The Chief Minister said all necessary work will be done to stop the violence.

The Chief Minister expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in the violence, he said while chairing a meeting to discuss the situation in Kurram through video link. The Chief Minister said that the incident of armed attack on vehicles is extremely unfortunate and condemnable. CM shared the pain of the bereaved families.
During the meeting, the government delegation met the tribal community and submitted its report to the CM. The Chief Minister said that a ceasefire is necessary to move forward towards resolving the conflict and urged the tribal elders to cooperate with the government delegation and local administration. CM said that he himself is monitoring the situation in the area. The government is trying to resolve this dispute.
