The Master Guard Company, responsible for the security of the society, has deployed about 70 guards. These guards allege that the AOA (Apartment Owners Association) has not paid the company for the last two months. Because of this, the company was unable to pay salaries to the guards.
The guards say:
“We remain alert day and night for the safety of society. Despite this, we do not receive our salaries on time. Even on Diwali they paid us partially which was not enough for our needs. Now two months have passed and the situation has worsened.”
AOA arbitrariness became a problem
The guards accused the AOA of highhandedness, saying that the AOA was not paying not only the security guards but also other employees such as street sweepers on time.
The residents of the society also expressed their discontent over this issue. One resident said:
“Not only the employees but also we residents suffer due to the negligence of the AOA. “Many societal problems are not being addressed.”
Half of the payment was made even on Diwali
The security guards said that an attempt was made to satisfy them by making a partial payment during Diwali. However, this was only a temporary solution. The guards say their financial situation has worsened so much that it is difficult for them to even support their families.

The situation at the site became tense after the guards protested. Keeping in mind the safety of the residents, the matter was reported to the Bisrakh Kotwali police. The police reached the spot and tried to control the situation and ordered AOA to resolve the issue immediately.

Both residents of the society and guards have demanded that the AOA resolve the issue at the earliest and pay outstanding salaries. The guards say that if their demands are not met they will continue their protest.
