People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader Iltija Mufti on Sunday attacked the ruling National Conference (NC) in Jammu and Kashmir. He has alleged that the National Conference is killing merit in Jammu and Kashmir. Iltija said that the false promises made by the ruling party regarding reserves are far from the truth.
PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti’s daughter Iltija took aim at the National Conference in a post about her ex. He said, ‘The party that is fooling the youth of JK with false promises of rationalizing reservation is killing merits in broad daylight. The party’s promises are far from the truth.

His comment came after Anantnag Government Medical College published an advertisement for paramedic vacancies. He shared the memo regarding vacancies in paramedical posts in GMC Anantnag. In which out of 17 seats available, only 3 seats are for general and EWS candidates.

While other seats are reserved for various categories including Residents of Backward Areas (RBA), Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). On this, Iltija Mufti targeted the National Conference and said: “Statehood is the only demand for which they are eager to enjoy uninterrupted power.”
NC had talked about reviewing the reservation policy.
In its manifesto for the recently held Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections, the National Conference promised to review the reservation policy in the Union Territory and correct the imbalance. In the assembly elections held after 10 years, a coalition government of the National Conference and Congress was formed in Jammu and Kashmir.
