Patiala Crime News (Aaj Samaj), Patiala: Under the zero tolerance policy issued by the state government to put an end to corruption in the state, the Vigilance Bureau continuously takes action against corrupt employees. During this time, a large number of employees and officials who were or are involved in corruption are being arrested. In this series, the State Vigilance Bureau arrested former SHO of Bhadson police station in Patiala district, Inderjit Singh (sub-inspector of police) and assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Amarjeet Singh, on charges of accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000.

Giving more information in this regard, the Vigilance Bureau spokesperson said that the two policemen mentioned above have been arrested under the anti-corruption law under the FIR already registered at the Vigilance Bureau police station, Patiala.

The Vigilance Bureau spokesperson further said that this case was registered after investigation of a complaint, in which the complainant alleged that these police officers had accepted Rs 50,000 as bribe in exchange for cancellation of the FIR registered against them in said police station. and after this they asked for 35 thousand rupees more. He further said that both accused will be produced before the court and further investigation into the case is underway.
