Punjab bought their first player in the auction – Arshdeep Singh. Punjab used RTM to add Arshdeep. Arshdeep was part of Punjab Kings last season but they did not retain him.
The Punjab Kings, who participated in the auction with over Rs 110 crore, have to prepare their team from scratch. Punjab Kings retained 2 players for Rs 9.5 million
Players retained by Punjab Kings included Shashank Singh and Prabhsimran Singh. The franchise had to spend only Rs 9.5 crore to retain these two players. Thus, of the amount of Rs 120 million available to form the team for IPL 2025, Rs 110.5 million was left in the bag of Punjab Kings.
