Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently on a tour of Guyana, during which he addressed the Guyana Parliament. Prime Minister Modi said India and Guyana witnessed similar slavery and struggles. Many people here (Guyana), as well as in India, dedicated their lives to the fight for freedom. When we became independent, the circumstances were very different.
