In his message to the workers of the “Church Open Hospital” organization, the Pope said that proclaiming the true Gospel means working faithfully for those most in need.
“Open Hospital” Church
He said: “The Church is like an open hospital where, by the grace of the Holy Spirit, we proclaim Christ, sow seeds of hope and try to eliminate inequalities.”
The Pope called them to welcome their vulnerable brothers and sisters by bearing witness with actions and not with words, which is an announcement of Jesus Christ because he first became poor for us who walk with us.
eliminate inequality
Regarding the elimination of inequality, the Holy Father said that through your apostolic work you must try to eliminate inequality between the poor and the rich. “God does not want the distinction between rich and poor among humanity. Therefore, we must eliminate the network of inequalities between us so that no one remains indifferent to each other.”
sow seeds of hope
Regarding sowing seeds of hope, the Pope said that we must welcome every migrant because they are part of the human family, whether they are a victim of war or have been marginalized by society for some other reason. “You sow seeds of hope among them and make them understand that Christian hope is greater than any situation because its foundation is God, not man. What seems impossible for man is not impossible for God.
Expressing his compassion for the most vulnerable, the Holy Father said that one should never shy away from serving them because the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. “To serve them and go to them is to touch God, and by doing so we proclaim the gospel in a concrete way.”
The Holy Father again expressed his gratitude for their work and asked that they continue to spread hope, compassion and love among people so that others, convinced of this truth, can come forward to serve the poor.
