Lucknow: In an important meeting on Tuesday, the Chief Minister said that of the total investment proposals received at the World Investor Summit-23, around 10% were related to PPP projects, demonstrating the best outcome of our policy. In view of the encouraging proposals being received from the private sector for PPP projects, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed the need to make the state’s PPP policy simpler and more systematic going forward.
CM Yogi said that keeping in mind the future needs, there is need for a policy covering all issues like identification of suitable projects for PPP, consultation of stakeholders, preparation of bids for the developer, stage of procurement process , the contract and subsequent management. Edit better. With this goal in mind, a new state PPP policy should be prepared soon. He said a dedicated PPP cell should also be established under Invest UP, which will expedite project implementation by developing a PPP framework, advising departments, facilitating inter-departmental cooperation, facilitating private investment and coordinating with government schemes.
