Regarding Chhath festival, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi said that extensive arrangements are being made to celebrate Chhath in a grand manner in the national capital. For this, more than a thousand ghats have been built. He also said that medical facilities have also been arranged at the big Chhath ghats. The Delhi government has declared a holiday on November 7 on the occasion of Chhath festival.
The Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi is busy with large-scale preparations for the four-day long Chhath festival. Chief Minister Atishi said at the PC organized about the preparations related to Chhath festival, “Chhath Puja will begin from today Tuesday night. Chhath festival is a great festival of our Purvanchalis. There was a time when they had to travel to their respective towns on trains and buses to celebrate this festival. But since Arvind Kejriwal became the Chief Minister of Delhi. Since then, Chhath is celebrated with great pomp in Delhi so that they do not have to leave the city to celebrate Chhath.”

He further said, “This time also preparations are being made to organize a grand celebration of Chhath festival in Delhi and a public holiday will be declared in the capital on November 7. More than 1,000 large Chhath Ghats have been built in Delhi alone. Before Arvind Kejriwal became Chief Minister in 2014, there were only 60 Chhath Puja ghats here. But today there are more than a thousand ghats. All these ghats are organized by different departments of the Delhi government.
Before Arvind Kejriwal ji became CM, there were 60 Chhath Ghats in Delhi, but today after 10 years, 1000 Chhath Ghats are being built in Delhi under the leadership of Kejriwal ji.

Regarding medical facilities at Chhath Ghats, CM Atishi said that preparations have been made for medical facilities at the greater Chhath Ghats. Maithili programs are organized in many places. The Delhi government organizes events at these Chhath Ghats. Construction of ghats, organization of water, organization of medical facilities and doctors, etc., all the work is done by the departments of the Delhi government.
On the poor law and order situation in Delhi, Chief Minister Atishi said, “As per the constitutional position in the capital, land, law and police are under the central government and other things are under the Delhi government. . The Centre’s job is to stop the work of Delhi. “If he had done even one percent of his work, the situation would not have been like this today.”

However, a war of words is being waged in Delhi between the ruling party and the opposition over the Chhath festival. Chief Minister Atishi on Monday criticized the BJP for obstructing Chhath Puja preparations in Delhi and termed it anti-Purvanchal. He also accused the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), working under the Centre, of hampering Chhath preparations in a south Delhi area. Similarly, after inspecting the Chhath Ghat located in ITO, CM Atishi said, “The fact that the BJP’s DDA in Delhi created hurdles in the preparations for Chhath Puja reflects their anti-Purvanchal thinking.”
