PM Modi’s Visit to Brazil (Aaj Samaj), New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a grand welcome upon his arrival in Brazil. He will participate in the 19th G20 Leaders’ Summit to be held here today and tomorrow. After the summit of the G20 countries, the Prime Minister will also visit the African country Guyana. Indian representatives led by Indian Ambassador to Brazil Suresh Reddy welcomed Prime Minister Modi.
Nigeria’s highest honor received on Sunday
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earned great respect in Nigeria. The Government of Nigeria has honored him with the country’s highest honour: “Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger-GCON”. The Indian Prime Minister has become the second most important personality in the world to receive this award from Nigeria. Also, this is the 17th such international award given to Modi by any country.
These countries have also been awarded the highest award.
Countries like Australia, Japan and France have also honored Prime Minister Modi with their highest awards. Let us tell you that prior to this, Nigeria awarded Queen Elizabeth of Great Britain the ‘Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger’ award. In 1969, the Nigerian Government awarded him this award.
