Punjab and Haryana High Court News: Hearing held in High Court on petition challenging Haryana Cabinet.

The High Court sought responses from the central and state governments

(Present Society) Chandigarh: A hearing was held on Tuesday on the petition filed by advocate Jagmohan Bhatti in Punjab and Haryana High Court challenging the newly formed cabinet in Haryana. During the hearing, advocate Jagmohan Bhatti told the Punjab and Haryana High Court that the state government has appointed more ministers than the prescribed limit. There can be 13.5 ministers in the cabinet. While the government has appointed 14 ministers. On this, the Punjab and Haryana High Court issued notice to the Central and Haryana governments and asked them to file their reply.

The next hearing in the case will be on December 19. Jagmohan Bhatti said that as per the 91st amendment of the Constitution, the number of cabinet ministers in the state cannot exceed 15 per cent of the total number of MLAs in the assembly. Advocate Jagmohan Bhatti has alleged in the petition that the ministerial posts and cabinet ranks distributed by the Haryana government are having a direct impact on the public. The number of ministers is being increased to please the MLAs. It is noteworthy that apart from Naib Saini, 13 ministers took oath on October 17. Following this, on October 18, lawyer Jagmohan Bhatti filed a PIL in the High Court. About which hearing was held today in the High Court.

All ministers, including the Chief Minister, were charged.

In the petition, Bhatti named Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Anil Vij, Krishnalal Panwar, Rao Narbir, Mahipal Dhanda, Vipul Goyal, Dr. Arvind Sharma, Shyam Singh Rana, Ranbir Gangwa, Krishna Kumar Bedi, Shruti Chaudhary, Aarti Rao, Rajesh Nagar and Gaurav, besides Gautam, have been accused. Let us tell you that even before this, lawyer Jagmohan Bhatti had filed a petition in the High Court challenging the cabinets of the two previous governments. Which was rejected by the Superior Court.
