Electoral Commission call for peaceful elections

On the other hand, Punjab Chief Electoral Officer Sibin C appealed to people to vote peacefully. Additionally, the Election Commission has deployed 6,481 soldiers and officers of Punjab Police and 17 companies of Central Armed Forces for safe and peaceful voting. Giving information in this regard, Sibin C said that of the four assembly constituencies for the by-elections, there are a total of 1,93,376 voters in Dera Baba Nanak assembly constituency, for whom 241 polling stations have been created. electoral. This is how the votes will be counted

Sibin C said that counting of Dera Baba Nanak votes will be held in 18 rounds on November 23 at Sukhjindra Institute Group, Gurdaspur. While in Chabbewal (SC) assembly constituency, counting of votes will be done in 15 rounds at Riyat and Bahra Group of Institutes, Hoshiarpur. The counting of votes for the Gidderbaha Assembly will be held in 13 rounds at the Government Higher Secondary School (Boys), Gidderbaha. Counting of votes in Barnala assembly constituency will be held in 16 rounds at SD College of Education, Barnala.
