Class 5 Radhika’s wish to become Punjab Assembly Speaker fulfilled

Chandigarh (Aaj Samaj). Punjab Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan met around 30 girl students from schools and colleges of Chandigarh and Mohali, who had come to visit the Punjab Assembly. She inspired the students to set their goals and succeed in life and serve the country by becoming good citizens. A group of girl students associated with a voluntary organization visited the Punjab Assembly.

Speaker Sandhwan interacted in detail with these students and inspired them to become politicians, business, IAS, PCS, doctors and scientists. Spokesman Sandhwan said today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders. He said the interest in politics among students is a positive sign. Inspiring students to become aware, he said it is very important for those interested in politics to be attentive to legal, political and other developments happening in the state and the country.

Addressing the students, he said that it is very important to analyze various incidents and develop one’s vision. He also said that every incident that happens in the country is related to politics. Therefore, if students are interested in politics, they should go ahead and try to understand what is happening in the country. The speaker said that there will be a great improvement in the incorporation of young people into politics.

During the conversation with the Speaker, when Radhika, a Class V student of Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, Chandigarh, expressed her desire to enter politics and become Speaker of the Punjab Assembly, Mr. Sandhwan decided to appoint her to the Spokesperson position. She was taken through the VIP route and made to sit in the speaker’s chair and all the students present were given information about the legislative work, the opposition and the ruling party, etc.
