The Minister also informed that in order to increase the revenue of the prison department and provide work to prisoners according to their abilities, work on installing petrol pumps is being carried out in 12 prisons located on main roads. the Punjab Prison Development Board. He said that petrol pumps have been commissioned in 6 jails, while petrol pumps will be commissioned in 2 jails soon. Describing transparent recruitment as a priority area for the Punjab government, the Cabinet Minister said that 13 DSPs, 175 guards and 4 matrons would soon be recruited in the Prisons Department.
