Chandigarh (Aaj Samaj)Local Government Minister Dr Ravjot Singh has spoken of immediate resolution of pending cases of Municipal Improvement Trusts in the state. Furthermore, it is insisted that the trusts have good coordination with the concerned institutions for the planned development of the cities and provide better facilities to the residents of the cities.
Dr Ravjot Singh today discussed important issues related to trusts with the chairmen and EMBs of a group of state city improvement trusts in the Municipal Forest here today. He said that under the directions of Chief Minister Agwant Singh Mann to provide efficient administration at the grassroots level, the Municipal Improvement Fund is an important link in the Local Government Department.
In the meeting, Dr. Rajjot Singh heard the problems related to their trusts from the chairmen of the city improvement trusts and gave suggestions to resolve various problems of their trusts on the spot. Dr Ravjot Singh asked officials to provide necessary support to chairmen to strengthen Municipal Improvement Trusts. He said that trusts for the development of cities must be financially strengthened.
