Chandigarh (Aaj Samaj)Punjab Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan has expressed deep grief over the demise of former Supreme Court judge Kuldeep Singh. In a statement issued here today, President Sandhwan said that Justice Kuldeep Singh, 92, was a renowned personality of the country, who made important contributions to the justice system and the field of law in India. He said that with the demise of Justice Kuldeep Singh, we have been deprived of a unique personality.
It is noteworthy that Justice Kuldeep Singh held many important positions including Advocate General of Punjab and Additional Solicitor General of India. He was appointed a judge of the Supreme Court of India in 1988 and retired in 1996. Sandhwan prayed to Akal Purakh to give place to the soul of the deceased at his feet and give strength to the family to bear this pain.
