Chandigarh (Aaj Samaj)The Punjab State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has taken strict notice of private schools that do not follow the orders of the Education Department regarding opening hours of schools during summer and winter seasons. Commission Chairman Kanwardeep Singh said that many private schools ignore the instructions of the Education Department and open schools before the scheduled time, due to which the safety of children may be at risk in case of fog and cold weather. .
Recently, cases of accidents with school buses that have endangered the lives of children have been reported in many places. Taking cognizance of this matter, the Commission has directed the Department of School Education to take strict action against those private schools violating the government orders. He said if any school does not follow the government orders and any accident occurs, the responsibility will be on the principal and administrators of the school concerned.
In this regard, the Commission has directed all district education officers, child protection officers and police department to take immediate steps to ensure compliance of government orders in schools.
