The Chief Minister administered oath to the newly elected sarpanches of the state in the presence of Kejriwal.

Former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal appealed to the newly elected sarpanches to organize village council meetings and take all decisions in the presence of people to ensure transparency in works developmental. Speaking at a state-level function here where Punjab Chief Minister Agwant Singh Mann administered oath to 10,031 newly elected sarpanches of the state, Arvind Kejriwal said ensuring all-round development of villages through wise use of public money is mandatory.
The former Delhi Chief Minister said decisions related to village development should be taken in local councils to ensure proper utilization of funds. He said that if the Sarpanch fulfills his responsibility, he can change the destiny of the common man and his people. Arvind K. Rajiwal said that the state government will provide full support to the sarpanches in every noble job. The former Delhi Chief Minister asked the Sarpanches to eradicate the drug problem in the state and said that with the active role of the Sarpanches, Punjab can soon become a drug-free state. He said the Punjab government and police are committed to this work. Arvind Kejriwal said that sarpanches have an important role and must discharge their responsibilities effectively.

Arvind Kejriwal said that it is a matter of great joy that around three thousand Panchayats have been unanimously elected, which will give a big boost to the development of the villages.
The former Delhi Chief Minister said that sarpanches must perform well and transform their villages into model villages. He said that for the welfare of the people, sarpanches must perform their duties with complete honesty and transparency. Arvind Kejriwal asked the Sarpanches to take all decisions after consulting the villagers and said that the Sarpanches can play an important role in the all-round development of the villages.
Punjab Chief Minister Agwant Singh Mann congratulated all the sarpanches elected to this important post. He said that in the recently held Panchayat elections, 13,147 new Panchayats were elected. • Agwant Singh Mann said that today 10,031 sarpanches from 19 districts of Punjab took oath in this state-level ceremony. The Chief Minister said that the oath ceremony of the newly elected sarpanches of the remaining districts like Sri Muktsar Sahib, Hoshiarpur, Barnala and Gurdaspur and the 81,808 newly elected panches of the 23 districts will be held after the Gidderbaha local elections, Chabbewal, Barnala and Dera Baba Nanak. He thanked the villagers for unanimously electing the Panchayats.
The Chief Minister said that it is a matter of pride and satisfaction that the Panchayats of 3037 villages of the state have been unanimously elected and Firozpur district has achieved the highest position by unanimously electing 336 Panchayats, followed by Gurdaspur (335). and Tarn Taran (334). . It is He said that the wise voters of Punjab have entrusted a huge responsibility to all the sarpanches and they must fulfill it with all their hard work. Agwant Singh Mann said that he is indebted to the voters of the state who participated in these elections with full enthusiasm in a free and fair manner.
The Chief Minister gave a clear appeal to the Sarpanches to stay away from any kind of undesirable interference in these works. He said it is very sad that due to factionalism in the villages, many works are hampered. • Agwant Singh Mann said sarpanches should give priority to ending factionalism in villages. The Chief Minister said that in a democracy, the person or party that gets the majority is the winner, but once the Sarpanch is elected, he is the representative of the entire people. He said that Sarpanch should treat all citizens of the village equally and take decisions impartially. • Agwant Singh Mann said that many village sarpanches have rejuvenated villages with their understanding and vision.
The Chief Minister said that one in every three houses in our villages belongs to NRIs and NRIs should ensure that they actively participate in the development of the villages. He said to keep youth away from drugs, Sarpanches should emphasize on making their villages drug-free. Agwant Singh Mann said sarpanches should work hard to strengthen the fabric of peace and harmony in the villages.
The Chief Minister assured the Sarpanches that there will be no shortage of funds for carrying out developmental works in the villages. He asked the sarpanches to give priority to development works in their villages so that the state government can start work in this regard. • Agwant Singh Mann said that Panchayats should take decisions for all-round development of villages and the state government will take all measures for the same.
The Chief Minister appealed to the Chief Minister to initiate a constructive study and play an active role in rejuvenating the villages of the state so that we can create Rangla Punjab. He asked the sarpanches to work hard to make the villages clean, full of greenery and free of pollution. •Agwant Singh Mann said that health, education, electricity, water and infrastructure are the five priorities of his government.
