Punjab News Update: Our aim is to take the state to the peak of progress: Bains

He said the state government’s focus on better education and better medical treatment.

Punjab (Aaj Samaj) News Update, Rupnagar: Minister for Public Relations, School Education, Higher and Technical Education Harjot Singh Bains said that the main objective of the state government is to take the state to the peak of progress. He said that under the leadership of CM Bhagwant Singh Mann, the government is mainly trying to improve the conditions of schools in the state and provide better healthcare to the people.

He said the government has initiated many new schemes to improve the condition of villages in the state and enrich them. Panchayats should take advantage of these schemes and make the villages prosperous. Harjot Singh Bains said that Panchayats are known as “pillars of democracy” because they have immense power and their decisions are respected by all the people. He said that now that the people of the state have given this power to the sarpanches and panches, the first duty of the panchayats is to look after their wishes and interests.

70 percent of the country’s population lives in villages.

He said that around 70 per cent of our country’s population lives in villages, so Panchayati Raj institutions are seen as the beacon of democracy. Harjot Singh Bains said that sarpanches and panches play an important role in implementing the policies formulated by the state government at the grassroots level. He said there is a need to further accelerate the pace of development and prosperity in the villages. The Government of Punjab is committed to the all-round development and progress of villages and will leave no stone unturned in this noble cause.

He congratulated the 131 Panchayats who were unanimously elected.

On this occasion, Harjot Singh Bains also congratulated the 131 unanimously elected Panchayats. He said that you must work day and night for your villages, in which the Punjab government and the district administration will fully support you. He said there will be comprehensive development of all villages in the district and the Punjab government will provide all possible help and there will be no shortage of grants.
