The Mahayuti alliance won a huge majority in the assembly elections in Maharashtra, now the race for the Chief Minister’s post has intensified. Meanwhile, Eknath Shinde called a meeting of Shiv Sena MLAs at a hotel in Mumbai. In this meeting, Eknath Shinde was unanimously elected party leader by the Shiv Sena MLAs.
During this period three resolutions were passed: First, Gulabrao Patil introduced a resolution to express gratitude to the voters for the great success of the elections. Shambhuraj Desai supported the proposal. Secondly, Dada Bhuse came up with a proposal to congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. Third: Uday Samant moved a proposal to elect Eknath Shinde as party group leader, Pratap Sarnaik supported it. All proposals were approved unanimously.
During this, Eknath Shinde said that our dear sisters trust us to do what we say. We did not stop giving Rs 1,500, but we also promised to give Rs 2,100 under the Ladki Bahin scheme. He said this is an unexpected victory, everyone has won in this election. Now we have to increase our strength. Some MLAs said that we live because of your face, on this Shinde said that our work continues.
Do not make statements that may harm Mahayuti: Shinde
At the same time, Shinde said no one should make statements that could harm the Mahayutis. He appreciated the work done by RSS and thanked him for it. Shinde asked the newly elected MLAs to be honest with the electorate and voters from day one. Work in your constituency, don’t just wander around Mumbai. Respect people’s opinions. Respect those who have given an overwhelming majority.

The newly elected Shiv Sena MLAs have authorized Eknath Shinde to hold talks with Mahayuti’s ruling allies to form the next government in the state. The Shiv Sena Legislative Party meeting was held on Sunday night for which all the newly elected MLAs arrived in Mumbai. Shiv Sena leader Deepak Keskar said there is no dispute on the Chief Minister’s post issue. A party functionary said that on Saturday night, CM Shinde held an online meeting of his party’s working committee and the newly elected members, in which they were allowed to hold discussions with their colleagues. He was also authorized to appoint the leader of the legislative party, the chief whip and other officials.
‘Decision on CM’s name will be taken in Delhi’
Shiv Sena leader Deepak Kesarkar said the swearing-in ceremony could be held at Mumbai’s Wankhede stadium. Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde are the national presidents of their respective parties. They will elect the leader of their respective party, while the decision on the Chief Minister will be taken in Delhi. He said there is no controversy on this issue.
