Launching a scathing attack on Prime Minister Modi, opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, during a press conference on Thursday, said that the Prime Minister is involved with Gautam Adani in corruption. He demanded the arrest of the industrialist after he was accused of bribery in the United States. Rahul Gandhi said that despite being named in the Rs 2,000-crore Adani scam and many other cases, he roams freely because he is protected by Prime Minister Modi.
The Congress MP said, “It is now absolutely clear and established that Adani has violated both Indian law and American law. I wonder why Adani is roaming around this country as a free man. This is what has been said, it is confirmed that “The Prime Minister is protecting Adani and the Prime Minister is involved in corruption along with Adani.”
The JPC lawsuit
Rahul said, ‘We are raising this issue, it is my responsibility as an opposition leader to raise this issue in Parliament. JPC is our demand. We want Adani ji to be arrested immediately. We know that Adani ji will not be arrested because the Prime Minister of India is behind him. If the young man here commits a minor crime, he goes to jail but nothing happens to Adani ji.

He said that the CPM is necessary. The American agency has said that they have committed a crime but the Prime Minister is not doing anything here. Even if he wants to do something, he can’t do it because he is under the control of Adani ji. A scam of Rs 2,000 crore has been committed.

Referring to Adani’s business dealings abroad, Rahul Gandhi said, ‘Adani has worked in Bangladesh with the help of Modi ji, investigation has started there. There is talk of research in Sri Lanka. Even in Kenya…this is a pattern: wherever the Prime Minister goes, he puts the credibility of the Indian government at risk and gets business from Adani ji. The truth will come to light and we will not leave it behind.
Madhavi Puri is protecting Adani
Referring to SEBI chief Madhavi Puri Buch, Rahul Gandhi said, ‘Madhavi Puri Buch was our first example, we proved that Madhavi Puri Buch did not do her job. The reason for this was corruption and mutual conflict of interests. She has not been removed. The country knows it, every relationship investor in India knows that Madhavi Buch is corrupt and is protecting Adani.
Chief Minister comes in for Rs 10-15 crore: Rahul Gandhi
The Congress leader said, ‘Nothing can be done to Adani ji in India. The Chief Minister comes in for 10-15 crores and Adani ji makes a scam of 2000 crores and wanders outside. Because Narendra Modi is protecting them. The US investigation says Adani has committed crimes in India and the United States. But no action has been taken against Adani in India. Our demand is that Adani be arrested today. Madhabi Buch, his protector, should be investigated and removed from office.

States should also take action
Rahul Gandhi said, ‘Action should be taken against whoever is involved in this matter. You have taken the names of the states. Rajasthan is also involved in this, just a few days ago the BJP government signed such a contract in Rajasthan. The BJP government has signed a similar contract in Maharashtra and also in Chhattisgarh. I say that wherever this has happened, be it a BJP government or an opposition government, there should be an investigation and punishment should be meted out.
Rahul Gandhi said that the main thing is that the kingpin goes to jail and is interrogated. The US FBI has said that Adani ji is committing corruption in India every day. Wherever there is corruption, there must be investigation. Adani ji has taken over India.
