New Delhi:Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s statement on the violence that broke out in Sambhal, UP has come to light. Rahul blamed the BJP government for this violence and termed the incident unfortunate. Rahul has also posted about this matter on his handle X.
What did Raúl say?
Rahul Gandhi said, ‘Sambhal, the state government’s bias and hasty attitude towards the recent controversy in Uttar Pradesh is extremely unfortunate. My deepest condolences to those who have lost loved ones in violence and shooting.
Rahul said, ‘The action taken by the administration without listening to all parties and with insensitivity further worsened the atmosphere and led to the death of many people, for which the BJP government is directly responsible. The BJP’s use of power to create divisions and discrimination between Hindu-Muslim societies is not in the interest of the State or the country.
Rahul said, ‘I request the Supreme Court to intervene in this matter at the earliest and deliver justice. My call is to maintain peace and mutual harmony. We all have to come together to ensure that India moves forward on the path of unity and the Constitution, not communalism and hatred.
Priyanka’s statement also came.
Recently, Priyanka Gandhi had also given a statement regarding the Sambhal case. He said the administration took hasty action without any investigation or trust between both sides. Priyanka posted on X and said, ‘Sambhal, the state government’s attitude towards the sudden controversy in Uttar Pradesh is very unfortunate. The hasty way in which the government acted on such a delicate matter, without listening to the other party and without giving confidence to both parties, shows that the government itself has spoiled the atmosphere. The administration did not consider it necessary to follow the necessary procedures and duties.
He said: ‘While in power, trying to spread discrimination, atrocities and division is not in the interest of the people or the interest of the country. The Honorable Supreme Court must take up this matter and do justice. My call to the people of the state is to maintain peace in all circumstances.
