You can book general class tickets through the UTS mobile app.
Indian Railways had launched UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System) mobile application for the convenience of passengers traveling in general class. With the help of this app, you can also book general class tickets and avoid waiting for hours in long queues at the counter. Here we will know how to book general class tickets on UTS mobile app.
How to book tickets on the UTS app
- Download the UTS app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Create and register an account via mobile number.
- Choose one of the booking modes such as travel ticket, express booking, platform ticket, season ticket or QR booking.
- Select the Book and Ride (paperless) option. With this you will not need to print out the ticket and you will be able to show the ticket to the TTE on your own mobile phone.
- Enter the name of the departure and arrival station.
- Click Get Rate and complete the requested information.
- For payment, choose any option from UPI, Debit Card, Credit Card, RWallet or Net Banking.
- Click Book Ticket.
- Select the payment option and complete the payment.
- As soon as the payment is made, your general class ticket will be successfully booked.
Please note that with the Book and Ride (paperless) option you will not be able to book tickets while you are close to the train station or rail line facilities. Therefore, book tickets before arriving at the station.
