A police constable died of dengue in Barmer, Rajasthan, but the police department took a big decision regarding him and gave him martyr status. The body of the deceased officer was kept for the last darshan at the Martyrs’ Memorial at the local police line before being taken to his native village in a military vehicle with full state honours.
During this, officers and soldiers of the police and district administration offered flowers, paid their respects to the martyr and saluted him. After this, the body of martyred officer Mohanlal will be taken in a procession in a military vehicle to his native village Balewa, where he will be cremated with military honours. During this time, apart from police, BSF and district administration officials will also be present.
They were recruited in the 2015 batch.
Mohanlal was a resident of Baleva village of Shiv assembly constituency of Barmer district. He was selected in the police batch of 2015. Mohan got married 6 years ago. He is survived by his wife and 3-year-old son. He was admitted to the local CHC for treatment three days ago after suddenly suffering from a high fever, but his health did not improve. He was later admitted to a private hospital in Barmer.
Death while going to Jodhpur
According to family members, the police officer’s badges began to fall due to dengue. His condition worsened so much that his plates reached around 50. In such a situation, he was referred to Jodhpur, but before reaching Jodhpur, constable Mohan died. As soon as information about the death was received, a large number of people gathered in front of the morgue. The body was kept in procession with full martyrdom honors in the local police line during the last darshan. From where the body of martyr Mohanlal will be taken to his ancestral village, Balewa, for the last rites.
