Raver seat is the 11th assembly seat of Maharashtra. Raver assembly seat falls in Jalgaon district of Maharashtra. In the 2019 elections, Shirish Madhukarrao Chaudhary of Congress won the election from this seat. Before the 2019 elections, this seat was with the BJP. Amol Jawale of BJP and Dhananjay Shirish Chaudhary of Congress will contest from this assembly seat in the assembly elections 2024. Shirish Madhukarrao Chaudhary won the elections here in 2009 as an independent candidate. After this, in 2014, BJP’s Haribhau Jawale won the elections and captured this seat. However, Shirish Madhukarrao Chaudhary re-entered the fray by getting a Congress ticket and in 2019 he won this seat again.
What happened in the last elections?
In the 2019 assembly elections, the Congress had given ticket to Shirish Madhukarrao Chaudhary from the Raver assembly seat. The BJP had once again expressed confidence in Haribhau Jawale. Anil Chaudhary filed an independent nomination. In the triangular elections, Shirish Madhukarrao Chaudhary of Congress got 77,951 votes, Haribhau Jawale of BJP got 62,332 votes and independent candidate Anil Chaudhary got a total of 44,841 votes. Shirish defeated Haribhau by 15,619 votes.

Raver’s seat is a Muslim majority seat. The Muslim vote share here is close to 20%. While the Patil community accounts for around 11 per cent. Residents of Mahajan and Chaudhary communities maintain their vote share between 6 and 6 percent. However, Patil, Mahajan and Chaudhary have dominated politics here.
