In Maharashtra’s Thane district, a young man fatally attacked his friend over just a cigarette. The attack was so deadly that the accused’s friend is now torn between life and death. While the police raided and arrested the accused youth.
Giving information about the incident on Thursday, a Thane police officer told PTI that the accused has been identified as 18-year-old Ayaz Khalil Momin. The accused Ayaz Khalil Momin was having dinner with his other two friends at a hotel in Bhiwandi on Wednesday.
According to the police, at the same time, the accused Ayaz Khalil Momin suddenly attacked his friend Aslam Babu Shaikh (30) with a sharp weapon. In fact, Aslam had asked Ayaz to stop smoking right then and there. This upset Ayaan Khalil Momin so much that he started abusing Aslam.
According to the police officer, during that time an argument began between them and Ayaz lost his temper. Meanwhile, he took out a sharp weapon and attacked Aslam Shaikh, due to which he was seriously injured. He fell there bleeding. From where he was transferred to the hospital.
Following the complaint of another friend of Aslam Babu Shaikh, who was present at the crime scene, the police registered a case of attempt to murder against the accused Ayaz Khalil Momin and raided and arrested the accused. Aslam is now being treated in a hospital in Thane.
