Suicide for not getting the money back
Rohtak News (Aaj Samaj) Rohtak: Worried about not recovering the money he borrowed, a police officer ingested a poisonous substance. When his health deteriorated, his family members joined the police staff at Rohtak PGI. Where he died during treatment. Police reached the spot after receiving information and sent the body for autopsy. The police are investigating the matter. The police officer’s elder brother has lodged a complaint with the police in this regard. In the complaint filed with the police, Bansi, a resident of Rohtak’s Bhaini Surjan village, said his younger brother Bhup Singh was posted as a special police officer in the police department.
Bhup Singh lived with his family in a rented house in Anantapuram Society, Jind Bypass, Rohtak for the last three years. Bansi said that his brother Bhup Singh was having a rift with his brother-in-law Sonu since 2016 regarding a transaction worth Rs 8 lakh 70 thousand. Now Sonu was refusing to return the money to Bhup Singh. At the same time, Rs 10 lakh was given for associating in a sweet shop with a person named Abhishek. Abhishek, now accused, was not returning Rs 10 lakh. Bhup Singh committed suicide by consuming a poisonous substance because his brothers-in-law Sonu and Abhishek were harassing him by not paying him the money.

City police station investigating officer Somveer Singh said he had received information that a police officer had died after consuming poison. Once they received the information, they arrived at the scene and began the investigation. After which the FSL team was also called to the spot. According to the statement of the deceased’s brother, a case has been initiated against two persons (Sonu and Abhishek) for forcing them to commit suicide and an investigation has been initiated.
