Rohtak News: Rohtak district council president gets relief

A councilor withdrew his name before the vote on the motion of censure.
Announced joining BJP for area development
Rohtak News (Aaj Samaj) Rohtak: Relieving news has come for Rohtak Zilla Parishad president Manju Hooda, who contested the elections on the BJP ticket against former CM Bhupendra Hooda. One of the councilors who moved the no-confidence motion against Manju Hooda has withdrawn his name from the vote on the no-confidence motion. Now this councilor has supported President Manju Hooda. The DC councilor withdrew his affidavit and also announced his joining the BJP.

The councilor who withdrew his name is Sonu Pilana. He is a councilor of ward 14 of Rohtak Zilla Parishad. After withdrawing his name, Sonu said that Panchayats of many villages had been coming to him for many days. After three rounds of the Panchayat, he decided to join the BJP for the sake of the villagers. The villagers said that they have to finish the development and there are still 3 years left. Therefore, he has withdrawn his sworn statement from the motion of censure. He also said that now by staying with the BJP, he will achieve maximum development work in the area. That’s why he decided to join the BJP. Sonu Pilana personally submitted his application to DC Dhirendra Khargata.

Vote postponed three times

Ten of the 14 councilors had submitted a memorandum to the DC against Manju Hooda demanding voting on the no-confidence motion. For the first time, the voting date was set for October 23. But DC couldn’t catch up. Later, when the date of October 30 was set, the vote was postponed because the issue of the D bar of 5 councilors was not resolved. Then the vote was to be held on November 12, but DC postponed the vote till further orders citing that the case was in the High Court.

Meanwhile, district council president Manju Hooda said he welcomes the decision taken by district councilor Sonu in public interest. He also appeals to all other district councilors to work together as a family. So that public development works can be carried out without delay.
