‘RSS had criticized its spokesperson,’ Jairam Ramesh said ahead of Constitution Day

Congress party leader Jairam Ramesh

Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh recalled Dr Ambedkar’s historic speech in the Constituent Assembly and discussed the role of Congress in the Constitution-making process. Jairam Ramesh shared Dr. Ambedkar’s remarks on the 75th anniversary of his speech delivered on November 25, 1948. In this, Dr. Ambedkar praised the adoption of the draft Constitution and the contribution of the Congress.

The 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of India will be celebrated today in the Central Hall of the Old Parliament. Which has now been called the Constitution Building. In fact, November 25 marks the 75th anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar’s historic speech in the Constituent Assembly, in which he recommended adopting the draft Constitution prepared by the committee headed by him.

Constituent Assembly would have been Bhanumati’s family.

In that speech, Dr. Ambedkar had said that if the Constituent Assembly was Bhanumati’s family, a cementless path, with a black stone here and a white stone there, and each member or group in it had its own path, then The work of the Editorial Committee would have been very difficult. It becomes difficult. Then there would have been nothing but chaos.

Result of Congressional discipline

The possibility of chaos was reduced to zero by the presence of the Congress Party inside the House, which created order and discipline in its proceedings. It was a result of the discipline of the Congress Party that, trusting in the fate of each article and amendment of the Draft Committee, it was able to present it in the Assembly. That is why all the credit for the approval of the draft Constitution in the Assembly belongs to Congress.

attack on the constitution of india

Jairam Ramesh said that when the voice of respect that Dr. Ambedkar had expressed towards the Congress rang out, on November 30, 1949, the spokesperson of the RSS Organizer attacked the Constitution of India and said that it was not inspired by Manusmriti. On January 11, 1950, a few days before the birth of the Indian Republic, Dr. Ambedkar himself condemned it in very harsh words.
