These days there is talk of a fine on social networks. The amount of this fine is so high that it is beyond the ability and imagination of any common man. If someone guesses this amount, they will be surprised.
In fact, Russia has imposed this fine on Google. According to CNN News, this amount is 2.5 billion dollars. The amount is so large that to write it, you will have to place 36 zeros in front of the 1, which will look like this: 250000000000000000000000000000000000 dollars.
Now, if we think about converting it to Indian rupees, the number of zeros will increase even more. If you understand it in simple words, this is such a huge amount that such wealth does not exist on earth. It is also claimed that not even the entire world’s GDP can come close to this figure.
Why was Google fined?
Now the question arises: in what case did the Russian court impose such a large fine on Google that it is impossible to pay? According to the Moscow Times report, this matter took place during the current conflict between Ukraine and Russia. In fact, Google had banned the accounts of government and pro-Kremlin media outlets and, despite repeated requests, refused to restore these accounts. For this reason, Russia has fined Google two billion rubles.
‘There is not that much money on this earth’
Google parent company Alphabet’s revenue for 2023 was $307 billion. To understand this, let’s say that $1 billion is roughly equivalent to Rs 8,400 crore. Now if we look at it accordingly, Alphabet’s revenue amounts to $307 billion i.e. around Rs 25,78,800 crore. But despite such huge revenues, it is impossible for Alphabet to pay the $2.5 trillion fine imposed by Russia. Even if you add up the total revenues of large companies like Alphabet and Google, this amount still falls nowhere.
