Russian President Vladimir Putin may visit India next year. Giving this information on Tuesday, diplomatic sources said that Putin may visit India next year within the framework of the agreement on annual mutual visits of the leaders of the two countries. He said both sides are considering the possibility of a visit but nothing has been officially decided yet.

We told you that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had invited President Putin to visit India during the summit held in Moscow in July.

What did the Kremlin spokesman say?

Earlier on Tuesday, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, citing strong bilateral relations between India and Russia, said Putin’s visit to India could go ahead as per plan. However, he did not give any information about the dates of the visit. Prime Minister Modi visited the city of Kazan in Russia last month, where he attended the BRICS summit.

Peskov statement on the Ukrainian question

When Peskov was asked about US President Joe Biden’s decision to supply Ukraine with long-range missiles to strike targets in Russia, Peskov warned that this could further escalate the conflict and lead to war.

On the other hand, Dmitry Medvedev, vice-president of the Security Council of the Russian Federation and former President of Russia, stated: ‘Russia’s new nuclear doctrine means that NATO missiles fired at our country will be considered an attack against Russia. Russia can retaliate with WMD (nuclear weapons) against kyiv and key NATO targets, wherever they are located. This means a third world war.
